Who is Dokucell?
DOKUCELL™, is the biobanking brand of Doku Biyoteknoloji A.Ş., a company operating in the fields of human tissue
and cell product manufacturing, stem cells, biobanking, and tissue engineering since 2006. The company develops value-added products
and services that contribute to human health.
In addition to its operations at Bilkent University Cyberpark Technopark, Doku Biyoteknoloji A.Ş. commissioned its GMP-approved, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ankara in 2021. Alongside the production of 12 different cellular products at this facility, the company provides umbilical cord blood and umbilical cord tissue banking services under the DOKUCELL™ brand, as well as Turkey’s first foreskin banking services.
In addition to its existing operations, Doku Biyoteknoloji A.Ş. conducts R&D activities focused on gene therapies in oncology, immunology, and dermatology, in close collaboration with its international partners, particularly in the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States.

DOKUCELL™ positions itself not merely as a storage facility for cells and tissues, but as a comprehensive biobank that brings together scientific expertise, advanced technology, and tissue engineering infrastructure.
Our advanced technological infrastructure, experienced multidisciplinary team of PhD-level experts educated and trained at prestigious universities abroad, and extensive expertise in cellular product manufacturing form the foundation of our service quality.
Our biobanking operations are conducted under the leadership of an experienced hematologist who has worked as a clinician in the field of stem cell transplantation for many years. Our scientific expertise, ongoing research in tissue engineering, and, above all, our commitment to ethical values not only support the quality of our services today but also provide a significant advantage in accessing cell and gene therapies that may be needed in the future.
Advanced Technology for Secure Storage
To ensure the highest level of security for the stem cells entrusted to us, we are the first facility in Türkiye to use the next-generation, US-manufactured CHART™ tissue and cell storage tank, which is also preferred by the Canadian Blood and Tissue Bank and is used in only nine advanced cellular product storage facilities worldwide.
